Cleaning and Support Services recruits employees on the individuals ability to do the job and be responsive to training to clean the “CASS” way.
At interview stage all candidates are screened by the interviewer using an App on a Tablet device. This App runs through a number of stages directing the interviewer to seek and make images of crucial information such as National Insurance Number, Passport/Driving Licence and the individuals right to work in the UK.
We also seek references for new employees, and where required require employees to undergo criminal record checks (DBS Checks), and where necessary Police and Home Office checks.
All of our people undergo induction training. This incorporates Health and Safety, COSHH and task specific training using training modules developed by CASS. For employees who’s first language is not English a significant part of the health and safety training is carried out via a multi-lingual DVD. We review training annually and carry out refresher training as required.
Our employees are issued with a branded uniform and a picture ID Card, along with PPE suitable for their job role.
All of our employees are required to record their attendance at our clients sites via our telephone based time and attendance system. Employees call the system from a client site based telephone when they arrive for and leave work. The system records their exact attendance and location and calculates their pay. Should an employee not arrive for work within the timeframe expected the system contacts their manager and a potential no show is avoided. For lone workers the system alerts the employees manager should they not clock out which may help in the case of emergency.
