Our MD cleans the toilets
CASS is a family-run business with five bases across the country and over 200 employees. Grahame Chapman is our MD. He’s a practising Chartered Building Surveyor with a master’s degree in construction management and economics but he’ll happily roll up his sleeves and get his mop and bucket out. What sets us apart from our competitors? We care. We care about making sure you’re always happy with what we do. We care about the welfare of our staff. And we care about our reputation.
We don’t just sign a contract and then robotically carry out the same tasks day in, day out. That’s just not our style. We appreciate things change on a daily basis, so if there’s a pile of dishes after a big meeting on Wednesday or the floors need cleaning again on Thursday because of bad weather, we’re on it. Consider CASS the cleaning fairies who come in and as if by magic, make your premises look as good as new again.
In our people we trust
Every member of the CASS ‘cleaning family’ has found their calling for making things spic-and-span. For your peace of mind, they’re fully vetted and insured – we interview them, obtain references and do all the necessary checks. They also undergo rigorous induction training that incorporates Health & Safety, COSHH and task-specific training using modules developed by CASS. Training is reviewed annually and we carry out refreshers when needed. All members of the team wear a branded uniform and ID card, along with PPE suitable for their job role. When they arrive and leave, we have a time and attendance system.

We’re a family business and try to maintain that family feel for the people who work for us. From day one, we’ve paid them above the going rate, plus paid holidays and sick pay. As a Chartered Building Surveyor, Grahame aims to bring the professional side of that profession into CASS. He believes cleaning is an imperative job, yet cleaning operatives are often undervalued and looked down on by society. That’s why he constantly champions for them to be recognised, given cleaning operatives now play such a vital role in keeping us all safe. We’re proud of the fact our retention levels are significantly higher than our competitors and we believe it’s because we treat our staff with the utmost respect. CASS is one of the few cleaning companies in the industry to hold international standards – we’re certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. We’re committed to carrying out all measures reasonably practicable to protect the environment and to continually improve our Environmental Management System. We’re also approved by SafeContractor, Buying Force and Achilles.
Making sure everyone is safe is what keeps our MD awake at night, so we will always carry out a full health and safety risk assessment and pay close attention to the health and safety of our employees and your staff.

With a partnership approach, our customers engage us as they engage their IT or business consultants, and trust us to come up with a bespoke solution.
We take a full brief of all areas that need cleaning, and design and agree definitive work schedules. We make sure it will be finished when we say it’s going to be. Even when there are changes at short notice, we’re flexible enough to adapt – if our MD has to come out and mop the floors, he’ll be there.
CASS uses cutting-edge techniques, equipment and materials to do the job right, first time every time. Fittings, materials and surfaces can bring new challenges and we always use the appropriate products to make sure they’re not damaged while still allowing effective cleaning to take place.
We’re only human and sometimes we make mistakes. But we always own up to them and if we do something wrong, we fix it.
